Samuel Davis (1760–1819) was an English soldier, artist, and diplomat who later became a director of the East India Company. During his time in the Himalayas, Davis produced numerous sketches that served as the basis for the illustrations in \u003cem\u003eViews in Bootan\u003c\/em\u003e, one of the earliest published visual records of Bhutan.
